Route 66 Centennial
West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, CA
August 2026
Commissioned by the city municipalities of West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica, these site specific installations range from large scale banners to vinyl wraps. The art work created for this initiative was titled Path Discovery, calling back to those who first laid asphalt up and down this iconic road. Each of the three cities have a different color variation of the artwork. This is the first project of its kind, being the first time all three cities have collaborated on a public art project.
The installations borrow the vocabulary of civic infrastructure. Banners and vinyl wraps, formats usually reserved for wayfinding and municipal messaging, place the work directly within the everyday landscape of the street. Each composition began as a digital drawing, then vectorized to preserve the immediacy of the original gesture across dramatic shifts in scale. Fabrication was realized in collaboration with A3 Visual.
