Allied Harbor Point
Beatty Development
1402 Point St. Baltimore, MD
Permanent Installation

This site-specific installation at Allied Harbor Point was developed in collaboration with the Beatty Development team as part of a broader architectural project to redefine the local area. What started as an earlier mural commission completed in 2021 at the nearby Exelon building within the same neighborhood, this project extends the same visual language into the direct design of the new construction. The elevator structure is built as a cast-in-place concrete core, with the surface articulated through custom formwork liners that embed a relief pattern directly into the material. This project began building in 2023 and later finished completion in 2025.

The elevator is located in the building’s main entrance and is visible immediately upon entering the lobby. The custom elevator shafts surface carries the integrated relief pattern from the lobby up to the buildings seventh-floor library. At the library level, the pattern wraps fully around the elevators façade and continues into an adjacent multi-space room. The project also includes custom designed rugs produced specifically for the library floor, allowing the work to extend from the hard architectural surface into the surrounding plush interior.
